The 8th graders experienced democracy first hand by participating in the WeVoteHawaii as the culminating activity to a week long IDU on the 2016 Election.
Students made posters encouraging others to “Get out the vote!”. They also discussed voting statistics, and learned facts like how Hawaii has the smallest percentage of voters in the nation.
