Our 2025-2026 Kamehameha Schools Spiritual Theme

2025 Beginning of the Year Convocation this Friday

Aug. 12, 2025

The first all-school gathering of the year will take place as we come together in praise and worship of Ke Akua for our Beginning of the Year Convocation.

This special tradition is our time to introduce and learn more about the Kamehameha Schools spiritual theme of the year. This year nā kula will focus on the pillar of Aloha ʻĀina, Love and care for our land and all that Ke Akua has blessed us with and the theme honors that commitment.

The 2025-2026 spiritual theme is "E Mau Ke Ola i ke Kumuola! Life endures by the Source of Life."

The theme is taken from Colossians 1:17 -
“O ia hoʻi ka mua o nā mea a pau, a ma ona lā nō hoʻi i mau ai nā mea a pau. He is before all things, and in him all things hold together."

Convocation will take place from 8:30 - 9:30 a.m. in Koaiʻa Gym. Students should wear their special events attire uniform white polo and blue pants or skirt. Faculty and staff should wear their special events attire.

Please see the tentative program below, as well as our seating chart and emergency evacuation map below. Faculty and Staff do have designated seating on the floor. Please take your seats by 8:25 a.m.

Convocation is open to ʻohana and alumni who would wish to attend, however, parking and seating is limited. Guests should utilize the Paiʻea Stadium parking lot, as the Koaiʻa lot is designated as Student and Faculty/Staff parking. Visitors do not need to sign in if only attending the Koaiʻa event. Convocation will not be recorded in its entirety at this time.
