Residential Life at Kapālama

By honoring our traditions and striving for excellence, we will inspire our haumāna to be ‘ōiwi leaders for the lāhui.

‘Ohana across Hawai‘i and beyond have found an extended home away from home at the KS Kapālama campus. Our Residential Life program offers a safe space that provides unique learning opportunities rooted in Hawaiian culture while living in a diverse, close-knit community. Here, our haumānabuild deep friendships that last a lifetime.

At KS Kapālama, we provide haumāna with a safe, nurturing environment that complements KS’ regular academic program. The program is designed to encourage student efforts to be respectful, responsible and resourceful members of our lāhui. Haumāna will learn and practice independent life skills with the guidance and support of caring adults and peers.

Our residents strengthen their ‘ōiwi identity and build their lifelong leadership skills surrounded by a supportive community in an environment where their well-being is the top priority.
