10th Grade Counselor
Aloha! I was born and raised in Paia, Maui.
I graduated from the University of Hawaii at Mānoa with my bachelors in Elementary Education in 2005.
I then moved back to Maui and taught 3rd Grade at Makawao School.
After teaching 3rd grade for one year at Makawao School, I decided to get my Masters degree in School Counseling.
I could not believe all the obstacles that my students went through at such an early age.
I started my Masters Degree in School Counseling at Point Loma Nazarene University andthen finished at National University in San Diego.
I served as an 11th Grade Academic and Behavioral Counselor at my alma mater, King Kekaulike High School.
In 2008, I transitioned back into the classroom as a 5th grade kumu at Kamehameha Kula Ha’aha’a.
I taught 5th Grade for the past 8 years and was the Innovation Specialist for 1 year.
In 2012, I became a National Board Certified Teacher.
I am so EXCITED to start the next chapter in my career as the 10th Grade Counselor.
During my free time, I LOVE surfing, diving for shells, fishing, swimming, or just cruising at the beach with my family and friends.
I love to be outdoors, love working out/playing sports, traveling, DIY projects, and of course EATING!
