My name is Brooke Holderbaum, and I am the 9th grade biology teacher at the Maui campus.
I was raised in Kane’ohe.
After spending 13 years at Kamehameha Schools, I attended UCLA, where I earned a bachelor’s degree in Physiological Sciences with a specialization in Education and a Master’s degree in Public Health (Community Health Sciences with a specialization in Sociocultural Aspects of Health).
I returned home and worked in the non-profit industry (mental health and advocating for fair placement on Hawaiian homelands) before transitioning to teaching.
I earned a Secondary Teaching Certificate (science) from the University of Phoenix, and taught special motivation, special education, science, social studies, and career technical education (health services) at Maui High School for 14 years.
I have been teaching at the Maui campus since 2013.
I feel fortunate to be a beneficiary of Pauahi’s legacy and passionate about working with the future leaders of our community.
