About me

Ruby is the Library Media Specialist for the lower elementary grade students in Kindergarten through third grade at Kamehameha Elementary School, Kapālama since 2006. She started her education career in 1993. She began as an elementary teacher in the Hawaiʻi public schools. She loves challenging her students to think, create and evaluate by integrating technology with information literacy and HCBE. She enjoys inspiring students to love and appreciate reading. She also takes joy in collaborating with colleagues and integrating reading and research with technology. On her free time, she enjoys a variety of fitness classes such as kickboxing, weight lifting, body combat, and Zumba.
