The Mālama Honua crew visits with Mattaponi and Pamunkey tribes in Virginia.
Hōkūleʻa arrived in Yorktown, Virginia on April 24, 2016.
Mattaponi and Pamunkey Tribes share their ways of preserving the land with Hōkūleʻa crew.
The crew was able to paddle across the Rappahannock River to see firsthand connections to Mālama Honua.
While in Virginia, crewmembers offered tours and shared more about navigation while docked at the Riverwalk Landing Marina.
