KS CEO Jack Wong was honored by the Asian Pacific American Institute for Congressional Studies (APAICS) with its esteemed Community Leadership Award for his dedication to the Native Hawaiian community and his commitment to collective efforts that build a future of continued growth for Native Hawaiians and all of Hawai‘i.
He and a contingent of Native Hawaiian community members including Native Hawaiian organizations and students from community partners Project Kuleana and Ke Ea Hawaiʻi were in D.C. to bring the celebration of “Ke Au Hawaiʻi – The Year of the Hawaiian” to our nation’s capital.
Above is his acceptance speech during which Wong took a moment to address Hawaiian haumāna.
