Welina mai me ke aloha,
As we prepare for a welcomed spring break, we pray that your ʻohana is healthy and well. We also extend our aloha and appreciation for your continued engagement as partners in supporting learning for our keiki. Your commitment to ensuring optimal conditions for our learners, including being vigilant in adhering to safety protocols to keep everyone healthy, has been much appreciated.
We take this moment to apprise you of current developments in our Hybrid Learning model. Last month, the CDC released new guidance for K-12 schools. Since January, our kula has sought to provide the most robust student in-person experience possible within leading health and safety practices. With this recent affirmation and the experiences of the past two months, we expect to remain in this enhanced hybrid learning model for the remainder of the school year. We will continue to adjust our learning spaces to best meet the needs of our learners, informed by these guidelines, with additional layered safety protocols and with five key mitigation strategies:
Your ongoing commitment to health and safety protocols like completing the Daily Wellness Checks, keeping keiki at home when they are showing signs of illness, and ensuring that keiki come to school with a face mask benefit everyone within the school community.
Important changes:
March 15-19 | Spring Break | No School |
March 22-25 | Distance Learning from home | No In-person, virtual participation only |
March 26 | Lā Kūhiō Holiday | No School |
March 29 | All Hybrid Learning students return to campus | In-person learning resumes |
We look forward to the months ahead and to congratulating our haumāna on having done an excellent job as we close out the year. Mahalo iā ʻoe for choosing to walk this path with us. I mua!
