Aloha mai kākou,

Ke Kula ʻo Kamehameha’s campus, preschools, and resource centers on Hawaiʻi Island, as well as our resource centers at Māʻili and Windward Mall, will remain closed tomorrow, Tuesday, Aug. 18. All other campuses, preschools, and offices across Kauaʻi, Oʻahu, and Maui Nui will reopen and return to normal operations.

Safety and the well-being of our communities remain our priority as Hawaiʻi continues to recover from the storm. We will continue to assess conditions and work toward safely reopening closed sites. Additional information and updates will be communicated directly by individual campuses, preschools, and office sites as needed.

Our aloha remains with everyone across the pae ʻāina who has been affected by this storm. We hold especially close in our hearts our communities in Kaʻū, Nāʻālehu, and across South Hawaiʻi Island, where many ʻohana have endured so much. In the days ahead, let us continue to mālama one another and kōkua where we can. As recovery continues, let us show patience, understanding, and aloha, especially for those most deeply affected.
