This morning, Kamehameha Hawaiʻi kula kiʻekiʻe poʻokumu, Dr. Lehua Veincent, and ASKS president and KSH senior, Kamahaʻo Halemanu, joined KITV at the Council for Native Hawaiian Advancement(CNHA) convention to recap some of the learnings and impacts of having a space to come together as kānaka.

Kamehameha Hawaiʻi has students at CNHA participating in the main conference as well as an ʻAha ʻŌpio where they get to interact and share with peers about the issues of importance to them and see if there are solutions they can contribute to as our next generation of ʻŌiwi leaders.

KHON2 highlighted some of the work of the ʻAha ʻŌpio in segments from the conference as well. Sophomore Wehiwalani Gapero and Kumu Lehua joined Kamaka Pili to discuss what our youth have been enaged in over the course of the Convention.

CNHA senior advisor Mehana Hind and one of the ʻōpio participants, Sanoe Kunukau, also shared some of the highlights of this year's ʻAha ʻŌpio.
