Aloha mai kākou,
Ke Kula ʻo Kamehameha is closely monitoring the approaching Kona storm with the safety and well-being of our haumāna, ʻohana and employees foremost in mind.
At this time, all Ke Kula ʻo Kamehameha campuses, preschool sites and offices will remain open tomorrow, Wednesday, March 11, 2026. We will continue to monitor conditions and follow the guidance of government emergency officials. Should conditions change, your campus, preschool or office site will share timely updates.
The National Weather Service reports that the storm is expected to begin impacting the western end of the pae ʻāina today before moving eastward across the islands. Flash flooding, damaging winds and strong thunderstorms are possible through the weekend.
We will also provide daily afternoon updates as the storm moves through the pae ʻāina. In the meantime, we encourage everyone to stay informed through trusted news sources, take the necessary precautions for your ʻohana, and look out for one another in the spirit of mālama kekahi i kekahi. Our thoughts are with all of our communities across the pae ʻāina as we prepare for the approaching storm.
E mālama pono.
