Hoʻomaikaʻi to senior Ciana-Lei Bence on her accomplisments at Saturday’s Hawaiʻi District Science and Engineering Fair!
Her outstanding project titled, “Analysis of Active Galactic Nuclei Mass Across Varying Redshifts” was awarded first place in the physics and astronomy category, and she was the second place overall in a very competitive Senior Research division.
Ciana-Lei was also recognized with the Sierra Club Moku Loa Group’s Dr. Don Worsencroft Award and the Office of Naval Research (U.S. Navy/U.S. Marine Corp) Award.
In addition to these accolades, Ciana-Lei is one of the State Science Fair finalist and earned a prestigious spot at the International Science and Engineering Fair (ISEF) to be held in Mid-May in Dallas, TX.
