The seniors swept the class awards, winning a record-tying seven at the 95th Annual Kamehameha Schools Song Contest Friday night at the Neal Blaisdell Center.
The seven awards tied the classes of 2011 and 2014 for most awards in a single night. The outstanding student director awards went to ʻElia Akaka (freshmen coed) and Ian Imamura (junior men).
KGMB will rebroadcast the song contest on Friday, March 27, beginning at 6:30 p.m. with the pre-show followed by the Song Contest at 7:30 p.m.

The Louise Aoe McGregor Award (outstanding student director): (Tie)
Winners: ʻElia Akaka (Freshmen coed), Ian Imamura (Junior men)
The Richard Lyman, Jr., ‘Ōlelo Makuahine (Mother Tongue) Award (oustanding use of the Hawaiian language): (Tie)
Winners: Women of the Class of 2015 (Senior women), Class of 2015 (Senior coed)
George Alanson Andrus Cup (men’s competition):
Winner: Class of 2015 (Seniors) (Kapena Keolanui, song director)
New England Mothers’ Cup (women’s competition):
Winner: Class of 2015 (Seniors) (Aubrey Fortuno, song director)
Helen Desha Beamer Award (outstanding musical performance): (Tie)
Winners: Women of the Class of 2015 (Senior women), Men of the Class of 2015 (Senior men)
Charles Edward King Cup (combined class competition):
Winner: Class of 2015 (Seniors) (Dezarae Leʻi, song director)
