Aug. 6, 2020

Before the new school year starts, our kula kiʻekiʻe wanted to take a moment to recognize the winners of last year’s Liko Lehua Award for the classes of 2021, 2022, and 2023.

Each year, the Liko Lehua award is given to the top male and female student that is currently within the top 10% of their class and display exemplary academic achievement, fine character, and good moral standing. Symbolized by the new growth of the ʻōhiʻa tree, which represents our haumāna at our Hawaiʻi Campus, this recognition is given to two students from each class, who have best represented the academic standards and ethical values of Kamehameha Schools Hawaiʻi. At the 9th, 10th, and 11th grade levels, their selections were made by a vote of the entire high school faculty and staff. Class of 2020 award winners recognized earlier this year were Travis Chai Andrade and Kayla Enanoria.

Please join us in a big hoʻomaikaʻi to the following haumāna on this special achievement.:

Class of 2021
Osiana Pacheco and Xander Calicdan,

Class of 2022
Grace Kanoa and Sean Serville,

Class of 2023
Siddalee Amaral and Joseph Ahuna IV

Haumāna will receive their congratulatory certificate and Liko Lehua Award pin from their grade level counselors.

I Mua Kamehameha!
