Videos can bring stories to life. Sharing the moʻolelo (stories) of Kamehameha Schools is the goal of the new KS video gallery, accessible through the schools’ intranet KSOnline and the I Mua Newsroom on its external website.
“We have used video for a while in separate channels – YouTube, ʻŌiwi TV, embedded videos in KSOnline and I Mua Newsroom stories – but we haven’t had a single place where we can gather and display all our video content,” says KS Digital Innovation Manager Andreas Arvman. “The video gallery will serve that purpose.”
Some of the videos posted to the gallery feature:
The gallery is also home to the video, “Legacy of a Princess: Ke Ali‘i Bernice Pauahi Bishop,” an in-depth look at Kamehameha Schools and the legacy of Princess Pauahi; and even KS’ latest digital Christmas card!
The brainpower behind the gallery was supplied by KS Senior Web Developer Tyson Oshiro and its user-friendly design was developed by Digital Media Specialist Mark Milligan.
