Meet Kukui, a haumāna in the Kamehameha Schools Hawaiʻi class of 2034 with a rich passion for art and aloha for his ʻohana. Watch his moʻolelo below or on the KS YouTube channel.
Like Kukui, each student who chooses to join our kula bring their talents, uniqueness, moʻolelo, and a rich moʻokūʻauhau from their ʻohana. In joining our kauhale, they connect to the moʻokūʻauhau of Ke Aliʻi Pauahi, who established our schools to foster opportunities where keiki can thrive and contribute to our larger kaiāulu.
Our kuleana as educators is to recognize that we are intentionally growing ʻōiwi leaders, helping them to find their own unique purpose and kuleana for the purpose of ea.
Our goal at Ke Kula ʻo Kamehameha ma Hawaiʻi is to empower students to find and deepen their passions so they can mobilize all that they bring in service to lāhui, and ultimately achieve the vision of Ke Aliʻi Pauahi.
