Kamehameha Schools’ ‘Ewa Region team will help welcome Polynesian voyaging canoe Hōkūle‘a to Pu‘uloa – the first time in the wa‘a’s 42-year history that it will sail into the waters of Pearl Harbor.
In addition to the arrival ceremony on Saturday, Feb. 10, additional events (see below) will help honor Hōkūle‘a and the dedicated crew members, volunteers and supporters who have and continue to collaborate to make the Mālama Honua Worldwide Voyage possible.
Hōkūleʻa Arrival Ceremony
Saturday, Feb. 10, 10 a.m.
Rainbow Bay Marina (57 Arizona Memorial Drive, Aiea 96701)
Hōkūleʻa and her crew will arrive at Rainbow Bay Marina to be greeted with Hawaiian cultural protocol followed by a military welcome. Attendees are encouraged to bring a lawn chair and water, and overflow parking is available at Aloha Stadium for $1.
