Shoppers looking for a retail experience with a li’l twist can head to Our Kaka‘ako’s “A Pinch of Salt for the Holidays” happening this Sunday, December 7 from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. at 445 and 449 Cooke Street.
The free, pop-up event brings together a host of unique local retailers that you can’t find at the mall including Hilo designer Sig Zane.
This family-friendly event will also include food, live caroling and an interactive holiday-themed photo opportunity with a Santa’s Workshop display.
“A Pinch of Salt for the Holidays is an opportunity for attendees to preview SALT, Honolulu’s urban island marketplace that will open fall 2015,” says Kamehameha Schools Marketing Manager Erin Kinney.
“SALT will include an eclectic mix of local retailers and restaurants similar to those currently located on the block bordered by Ala Moana Boulevard, Keawe, Auahi, and Coral streets.”

Hilo-based clothing designer Sig Zane grew up surfing along the shores of Kakaʻako. This Sunday he will debut a wave of his latest products at "A Pinch of Salt for the Holidays," a pop-up shopping event in Our Kakaʻako.
Fashion designer Ari South of "Project Runway" fame will showcase a spectrum of ready-to-wear attire.
Pop-up eateries will include farm-to-fork delicacies from Hawaiian Fresh farms.
