Kamehameha Schools has created a set of Hawaiian-focused devotionals for the four weeks of Advent and Christmas Eve. This week’s devotional by KSK Kahu Kordell Kekoa focuses on “Place.” Share the devotionals with family and friends!

Each devotional includes:

  • A scripture reading in ʻolelo Hawaiʻi (Hawaiian language) and English
  • Some manaʻo (thoughts)
  • Questions to ponder
  • A pule (prayer)
  • A lesson, pule and activity especially for keiki
  • A hīmeni (hymn) with corresponding video

For details on the devotionals, including introduction and usage videos, see the initial I Mua Newsroom story.

In the video below, KS Kapālama Kahu Kordell Kekoa and son Kalaniaukai sing the suggested hīmeni for the second week of Advent, “Betelehema Iki Ē” or “O Little Town of Bethlehem.”
