Nā Hīmeni Kalikiano is a monthly offering of mele and pule led by nā kahu of Ke Kula ʻo Kamehameha. These familiar songs and heartfelt prayers help us grow our relationship with Ke Akua, grounding our daily lives in love, service and spiritual discipline.
The Hawaiian hīmeni “ʻEkolu Mea Nui” is derived from the scripture in 1 Corinthians 13:13. This passage reminds us that aloha is the greatest of all qualities and reflects the very nature of God. As we celebrate our Hawaiian language, this pule asks Ke Akua to guide our speech, so that we speak with aloha and reflect the love of Christ.

We ask for Your Holy Spirit to be upon us
I hiki iā mākou ke ola me ke aloha.
That we may live our lives with aloha.

Guide us in our speech, so that wherever we may go,
i hiki nā poʻe apau ke ‘ike I Kou aloha me Kou lokomaika’i.
