• Parade honors King Kamehameha (Honolulu Star-Advertiser)
  Thousands gathered in Honolulu to watch the 107th King Kamehameha Floral Parade, featuring almost 50 various groups including pā‘ū riders, royal societies, civic clubs, schools, marching bands and community leaders.
   
• Hawaiʻi’s independent schools are flourishing (KHON2)
  Students attending independent schools in Hawaiʻi have long gained advantages and skills that help them become community leaders.

• Maui haumāna wins Dr. King Peace Poetry Award (Maui Now)
  KS Maui middle schooler Moss Kuon was named the statewide Hawaiian language grand prize winner in the poetry awards honoring the civil rights leader.
   
• Zsyla Honda wins Hawaiʻi Association of Independent Schools scholarship award (Maui Now)
  Honda will major in psychology at Grand Canyon University in Phoenix.
   
• Staysia Haleakala wins Maui Hotel & Lodging Association award (Maui Now)
  Maui Hotel & Lodging Association awarded $53,500 in scholarships to graduating students from Lahainaluna, Maui High, Baldwin High, Kamehameha Schools Maui and Maui Preparatory Academy.
   
• HMSA awards $75,000 in scholarships to 15 high school seniors; $13,500 to outstanding high schools (Maui Now)
  Nine schools, including Ke Kula ‘o Kamehameha, were recognized for achieving the highest scores in academics, athletics, community service, healthy activities and sportsmanship in their leagues.
   
• Caroline Sloper wins Realtors Association of Maui Community Foundation award (Maui Now)
  The Realtors Association of Maui Community Foundation awarded $1,000 scholarships to 30 students from Maui County.
   
• Four KS haumāna receive HFS Federal Credit Union awards (CU Insight)
  Ten scholarships went to Big Island high school graduates this year.

ATHLETICS

• Kamehameha-Hawaii wins D-II title decisively over Damien (Honolulu Star-Advertiser)
  KS Hawaiʻi defeated Damien 12-1 in five innings for the Division II state title.
   
• Kainoa Wade, Kamehameha dethrone 10-time state boys volleyball champ Punahou (Spectrum News)
  It was the Warriors' first title since 2011.
   
• Kamehameha’s Mua Williams named Gatorade Hawaii Softball Player of the Year (Hawaii News Now)
  The shortstop led the entire state with a .638 batting average, 50 RBI and 17 home runs.
