Please join members of ʻAha Moananuiākea and its partners in Hawaiʻi and around the world as for the 2nd Annual Hoʻokele Honua Pacific Unity Virtual Summit. ‘Aha Moananuiākea – a Pacific consortium sponsored by Kamehameha Schools – includes the Polynesian Voyaging Society, Bishop Museum, and UH.

The theme of the summit is “World Oceans Day: The Sea Roads that Connect Us.” Summit speakers include the Honorable Heremoana Maamaatuaiahutapu, minister of Culture and the Environment for French Polynesia; La quen náay Liz Medicine Crow, president and CEO of the First Alaskans Institute; and Master Navigator Nainoa Thompson, president of the Polynesian Voyaging Society.
The summit will also include the video highlights “Mārae Tapuatapuātea” from the recent PVS Kealaikahiki Voyage and “Aloha Rapanui,” a tribute to relationships between Hawaiʻi and Rapa Nui. Access the summit informational packet here.
