In a recent huakaʻi to Maunalua Bay, interns and employers from KS’ Career Pathways Unit including teams from Kāpili ʻOihana and Hālau Kūkalaulama removed more than 1,100 pounds of invasive species including monster ogo and leather mudweed with direction from community collaborator Mālama Maunalua. The effort helped participants build pilina and strengthen networks, while also balancing their time in the workplace by caring for the ‘āina.
