Hope that everyone had a wonderful first two days to the new school year! We mahalo you for your patience and understanding as we work through temporary adjustments that are needed as we improve our parking and drop-off zones for ʻohana. 

Much care and attention is being placed to try and minimize these temporary inconveniences. After seeing how traffic patterns move after the first day and adjustments made today, there are a handful of reminders and important instructions we need to reinforce for the safety of our kauhale. 

1. Please follow instructions of our security officers, they are there to keep everyone safe. Modifications may be needed based on different conditions and they will have the best instruction of what to do so we can move through pick-up and drop-off quickly and safely. 
    
2. Everyone needs to use marked cross walks when walking through this area.
    
3. Drivers must remain in their vehicle and do not change drivers in the pick-up/drop-off zone. This is important to keep the flow of traffic moving. 
    
4. Reminder that campus does not open until 7 a.m. and drop-offs should not occur before 7 a.m. when supervision is available. 
    
5. Please use patience. In condensing these areas due to the construction, traffic congestion increases significantly. Do not try to quickly bypass and get around cars. Arrive after school is released to give students time to get to the pick-up area. Or the first lane of the Paiʻea Stadium parking lot can be used as a temporary waiting area until haumāna are ready, rather than rushing to the pick-up lane. Just please note, the 2nd lane in the Paiʻea Stadium lot is used as a bus staging area and should be avoided.
    
6. If haumāna are not ready to be picked up, please exit and circle around the pick-up area. Or wait in the Paiʻea lot until haumāna are ready.
    
7. If ʻohana have to stop and visit the office, please let security know so they can direct you to the appropriate lane and parking area.

All students, faculty, staff, ʻohana and guests should continue to avoid active construction areas while work is ongoing. Be sure to utilize the alternative walkways/crosswalks and remain aware of your surroundings when moving around any of these areas.

We will continue to update you on the progress of construction or if any other modifications are needed.
