Kula Haʻahaʻa held their ʻAha Hoʻoulu for Papa 2027, distance learning style, over Zoom on Wednesday, May 20, 2020. This special tradition in transitioning from elementary to middle school featured our fifth grade haumāna sharing an ʻŌlelo Noʻeau with one another as a gift of wisdom.
The transition ceremony featured a series of haʻi ʻōlelo from school and campus leadership, with Poʻo Kumu Gapero and Hope Poʻo Kumu Paleka saying their aloha to this special class. It also included remarks from Kula Waena poʻo kumu Dr. Tehani Corcoran and their new Kula Waena counselor Mrs. Robbie Shimose, welcoming the class of 2027 to middle school.
Mele was shared and, to close, a special trip down memory lane as highlights from throughout this class' time at Kula Haʻahaʻa was shared. All together a nice way to close one chapter as another opens.
