Helping students discover, develop, and explore their passions

Jul. 10, 2024

Last school year, Hālau ʻIeʻIe captured the manaʻo of seven students as they articulated what their passions are and what they are looking to do in the future to uplift their communities.

Our kuleana as a kula is to prepare our haumāna to be ready to step into the world, grounded to serve and prepared to lead and answer the challenges that will inevitably come their way. We hold a pivotal responsibility in guiding our learners toward their fullest potential. Our strong commitment to an extraordinary standard of care for each learner in every interaction is at the core of our educational philosophy. Together we create a kauhale of support that fosters a deep sense of belonging and empowerment among our students, allowing them to flourish and shine. We are able to provide that support because of the work that has been done to transform our system to focus on postsecondary success and wellbeing, starting in kula haʻahaʻa and continuing beyond graduation with higher education transistion specialists as well.

Listen to the words of these haumāna and hear the hope for a brighter future as they develop into the leaders of tomorrow.
