As the calendar turns to December, our haumāna are normally hard at work preparing for Founder’s Day to honor our beloved Ke Aliʻi Bernice Pauahi Bishop. The challenges of this year have forced us to get creative and find new opportunities to continue and elevate our traditions in a safe way.

For the first time ever, we will have a Kamehameha Schools wide Founder’s Day celebration featuring haumāna and alumni from all three campuses and our preschools.

See some of the behind the scenes pics on our Instagram from the recording of the featured mele that will be shared during the ceremony, “He Inoa No Pauahi.”

Make plans to tune in to the live stream of the event on Friday, December 18 at 10 a.m. on www.ksbe.edu/foundersday and join in the celebration, sing along and help us say #mahalopauahi.

The entire Kamehameha Schools organization will come together for a single Founder's Day ceremony and you can watch live at ksbe.edu/foundersday.

High school choir members record their part in the mele.

For the first time, our elementary haumāna will help with singing the first verse of He Inoa No Pauahi.
