Benefits of Bilingualism

Makena wanted to expose younger children to something fun and interesting, like a picture book, while at the same time writing it in both English and Hawaiian. She shared the book to Kumu Kalehuawehe’s first grade class, where she read the book and asked the haumana questions about the story and their knowledge on the Hawaiian language.
