Sending all of our prayers and aloha to senior Jaden Ah Mow, along with a kōkua request for our Kamehameha Schools ʻohana who may be able to help.

Jaden recently fell ill and is now in need of a bone marrow transplant. He has begun treatment, but a bone marrow transplant is the cure for aplastic anemia. So we are reaching out on his ʻohana’s behalf to encourage anyone who may be willing to register as a possible bone marrow donor for Jaden or others out there in need.

Here are some facts about bone marrow donation:

  • generally painless
  • marrow is withdrawn through a needle
  • is an outpatient procedure
  • donors should be in the age range of 18-44

If you are interested in seeing if you can help Jaden or others, please use this link to register: http://Join.BeTheMatch.org/ImuaJaden

Jaden's ʻohana is working with Be The Match Hawaiʻi to set up a bone marrow drive here on Hawaiʻi Island. Once details are known, we will share.
