Jun. 27, 2023

Yesterday, Ka ʻOhe KSH ‘10 alumnus and current Seattle Seahawks assistant offensive line coach Keliʻi Kekuewa held a special offensive line camp and coaches’s clinic for students and coaches in our east Hawaiʻi community here at Paiʻea Stadium.

It was a great opportunity to share some of the knowledge gained over his extensive collegiate playing career and time as a coach at both the NCAA and NFL level. Mahalo nui e Keliʻi for sharing your time and talents to help others in your hometown!

Kekuewa is entering his second season as a Seahawks line coach, and joined the team as an offensive assistant in 2020.

Kekuewa began his coaching career at Wake Forest (2015-16) before moving on to the University of Minnesota (2017) and Henderson State University (2018), working mainly with the offensive line and tights ends at each program. He spent the 2019 season as Notre Dame’s offensive staff as a graduate assistant.

Kekuewa played two seasons at Bowling Green, starting all 27 games during the 2012-13 seasons. An All-Mid-American Conference center, Kekuewa was a key part of the Falcons’ offensive unit that averaged over 34 points per game. BGSU finished 10-4 in 2013 including a win in the MAC Championship Game over Northern Illinois and a bowl bid to the Little Caesars Pizza Bowl. He spent his first two college seasons at Arizona Western Junior College, where he led the Matadors to an 11-1 record and a berth in the National Junior College Athletic Association championship game.
