Kū‘ono Marketplace at Kāhala grand opening

Kamehameha Schools and its partners recently celebrated the grand opening and blessing of Kū‘ono Marketplace at Kāhala. Rooted in Hawaiian culture and sense of place, the marketplace is a community gathering place filled with an eclectic mix of shops, eateries and activities for East Honolulu. Revenues generated by Kū‘ono Marketplace at Kāhala and other KS commercial properties support KS’ educational mission. A private Hawaiian blessing was held to celebrate the grand opening of Kū‘ono Marketplace at Kāhala located mauka of Kahala Mall. Kū‘ono means “nook,” or a place where provisions are stored, in Hawaiian.
