Hale‘iwa Store Lots Welcomes Re-emergence of Retail Tenants

HALE‘IWA, HI (May 15, 2020) — Hale‘iwa Store Lots welcomes back more of its ‘ohana, as the city and state allow more retail businesses to operate. As part of the re-emergence of the O‘ahu retail and shopping industry, several Hale‘iwa Store Lots merchants are scheduled to open starting today. The beloved center in the heart of the North Shore had continued to serve the community, during the stay-at-home mandate, providing takeout and online shopping options for the Hale‘iwa community, and adhering to guidance from local and federal health officials, the World Health Organization and the CDC. The dedication to health and safety will continue, as more of the center’s merchants choose to open.
“The health of our Hale‘iwa community and their ‘ohana is our top priority,” said Dixie Diga, General Manager of Hale‘iwa Store Lots. “We continue regular cleaning and sanitation efforts, installed signs to help with social distancing and require our guests to wear face masks, so we can continue to safely serve the neighborhood.”
Guests are encouraged to check ahead of time as reopening dates for individual tenants and store policies may vary. No large groups or gatherings are allowed.
For the safety of all, at risk community members, such as kūpuna or those sick, recently ill or exposed to anyone ill should continue to stay at home as needed, in the effort to flatten the curve.
During the stay-at-home and work-from-home government orders, certain tenants voluntarily closed while other essential businesses remained open. With the government’s guidance for shopping center operations, Hale‘iwa Store Lots’ tenants will be given the opportunity to decide whether they’d like to reopen for business.
