2016 KS Kapālama Graduation

More than four hundred seniors graduated from Kamehameha Schools Kapālama at the campus’ 126th commencement ceremony held recently at the Blaisdell Center Arena.

The Class of 2016’s graduation weekend also included a baccalaureate service at Kawaiahaʻo Church and a Senior Tea on campus at the Kaʻiwakīloumoku Hawaiian Cultural Center. Congratulations to KS’ newest alumni as they begin the next chapter of their lives!

KS Kapālama High School Principal Sheena Alaiasa and Assistant Principal Kapua Akiu-Wilcox lead the faculty into the arena.

KS Kapālama Po‘o Kula (Head of School) Earl Kim spoke of the many accomplishments of the class of 2016 and gave his best wishes for their future.




The seniors gave Kim a standing ovation at the conclusion of his speech. He will be leaving KS to take on new challenges.




Over 400 seniors received their diplomas personally from Alaiasa. Senior Kaeo Kruse is headed to Harvard.
