Kula Waena | Grades 7-8

pattern

In these impressionable years of an adolescent’s life, we at Kula Waena are proud to play an important role in the development of our Kamehameha haumāna. Built upon the foundation established at Kula Ha‘aha‘a, our goal during the grade 7 and grade 8 years is to prepare our haumāna for more choice, flexibility, and kuleana as they grow into young adults. We foster a zest for exploration, and support our haumāna as they continue their journey to become E Ola! Graduates.

Student leadership

Each Kamehameha student is represented in student government in two ways: first, as a member of the Associated Students of Kamehameha Middle School (ASKMS) and secondly, as a member of a Pūʻulu (team). For details about student leadership, see our ASKMS constitution.

Clubs

All middle school students and faculty members are part of a middle school club. Club meeting times are designated throughout the school year and occur during the school day, providing all students with opportunities to engage in a club experience.
