Our academic approach

Kamehameha Schools is guided by a curricular framework called E Ola! which refers to the desired outcomes identified for all graduates. Collectively, the E Ola! Learner Outcomes contribute to the goal that haumāna will become local and global servant leaders who are culturally engaged and play significant roles in creating strong ‘ohana and communities through ka pae ‘āina o Hawai‘i and beyond.

Grounded in E Ola! Learner Outcomes, our academic program at Kapālama High School is designed to nurture students who are:

To this end, our graduation requirements include a core set of courses in English, Math, Science and Social Studies as well as a range of other courses spanning Christian Education, Performing and Visual Arts, Physical Education and Health, and Languages, including ‘Ōlelo Hawai‘i (Hawaiian language).
