Senior Director, Planning and Development
Chris Deuchar leads all planning and development activities for Kamehameha Schools’ commercial real estate assets. He is responsible for aligning portfolio and market area strategies with KS’ strategic plan, community regional plans, and five-year portfolio plan; creating and maintaining real estate value and strategic returns; and collaborating with various KS leaders and divisions to create holistic real estate plans that advance the schools’ educational mission.
Deuchar previously served as the founding principal and managing member of Form Partners LLC—a Honolulu-based firm specializing in the development, investment and operation of commercial real estate in Hawai‘i. He also founded U.S. Pacific Development LLC, which has developed over 400 resort, urban residential and commercial condominiums.
A licensed real estate broker in the state of Hawai‘i, Deuchar is an active member of the Urban Land Institute serving as the Honolulu district chair (2017-2018) and is a member of the Urban Development Mixed-Use (green flight) national product council. He is also a former board member and president for the National Association of Industrial and Office Properties, as well as a 2007 alumnus of the Pacific Century Fellowship program.
Raised in Honolulu and California, Deuchar is a graduate of Corona Del Mar High School and Colorado State University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts in economics while on full athletic scholarship.
Deuchar serves on the board of directors for Hale Kipa, a nonfit serving over 2,000 of Hawai‘i’s at-risk youth and their families. An avid sportsman, he has completed three Ironman triathlons, several marathons, and the Moloka‘i Hoe outrigger canoe race. He also enjoys beach volleyball and spending time with his wife and their three children.
