Tenant Construction Project Manager
Brian Shibata leads all tenant construction projects and activities in Kamehameha Schools’ 18 market areas, including development of design criteria and landlord delivery conditions; tenant interface and improvement negotiations; coordination of review and approval of Landlord Work Exhibits, tenant submittals and architectural drawings; and, management of contractors and vendors through design and constructions.
Brian brings over 25 years of design and construction experience to KS, including project management roles at Douglas Emmett Builders, The Shidler Group/Pacific Office Properties, J. Anthony Ive Architects, and ADM Retail Planning and Architecture.
While at The Shidler Group/Pacific Office Properties as a Design and Construction Manager, Brian coordinated the planning and oversight for all of the tenant and capital improvement projects; provided consultation for architectural and code related matters; conducted plan reviews and budget analysis; led procurement process and contract negotiations; managed design and construction consultants; and provided training and oversight to enable property managers to effectively act as project managers on smaller projects.
A basketball enthusiast, Brian enjoys bonding with his sons playing video games or attending their sporting activities.
