All KS campuses and preschools will begin distance learning after spring break

In response to the rapidly evolving COVID-19 situation, Kamehameha Schools announced all three of its K-12 campuses and its 29 preschools will implement their respective distance learning and educational support programs when school resumes after their respective spring breaks. Aloha ʻĀina Summit

Aloha ʻĀina Summit March 13th, 2020 - Kamehameha Schools Kula Waena Haumāna from Kapālama and Maui gathered at KSM’s Keōpūolani Hale to share their manaʻo. Haumāna presented projects which showcased their love and patriotism for our ʻāina.

Presentations included a microplastic collection device called the Super Scuper Sub, Team ʻŌpeʻapeʻa educated the audience on their journey and knowledge they learned, and KSMʻs Aloha ʻĀina race which had haumāna combining Physical Education, Socal Studies, & English while racing around campus to solve puzzles and answer questions. KS Kapālama will begin Spring Break early in response to COVID-19 developments

Kamehameha Schools Kapālama will begin spring break earlier than scheduled in response to the developing COVID-19 situation. Spring break will now commence on Tuesday, March 17. Haumāna are scheduled to return to school on April 6 unless otherwise instructed.

Haumāna Inspired by Celebrity Readers on Dr. Seuss Day

Haumāna had a special treat to celebrate Read Across American Day as Celebrity Readers came to campus to inspire our haumāna by reading a children’s book to them, sharing about their different professions and organizations, and then encouraged them to read and work hard in school. Celebrity Readers included Tyson Miyake, the Chief of Staff from the Mayor’s office, OHA Trustee Hulu Lindsey, and even our Letterman’s Club co-Presidents from our senior class. See story »

KSM Kula Waena Robotics Team takes 2nd in the State

Saturday, February 29, 2020 Kamehameha schools Maui hosted the 2020 Vex IQ State Championships for Middle School. One of our teams, 96768A Architechs placed 2nd in the state in the Teamwork Challenge along with their partner team, Mililani Masters.

Team A earned a slot in the 2020 World Robotics Championship held in Kentucky in April. Teams started building and refining their robot in August and their months of hard work paid off. Congratulations to Vann Siphers, Noah Kalehuewehe, and Kaleikaumaka Roback (96768A) on their win. Good Luck at the World Championships!
