KS Maui ke Kula Haʻahaʻa celebrated Dr. Seuss Day on Monday, March 2nd by having Celebrity Readers read to our keiki and talk about their line of work and their different organizations. After checking in and receiving their Dr. Seuss hat, Celebrity Readers met their student ambassador who served as their host for the event. With books in hand and a short welcome by our poʻo kumu, our student ambassadors led our guests to their assigned classrooms. Celebrity Readers spent about 40 minutes reading their book, sharing about themselves, and taking questions, which were prepared ahead of time, from our students. When pau, our student ambassadors brought our guests back to the Learning Innovation Center for breakfast treats and makana before saying mahalo, aloha, and ahui hou to our guests.

Students were also treated to a special Dr. Seuss edition of Wake Up Warriors, our live morning broadcast, and everyone received a Dr. Seuss bookmark and eraser. Overall, it was a great day to celebrate reading and literacy.

A sincere mahalo goes out to all of our community leaders who took time from their busy schedules to inspire our keiki on this special day:
