Pauahi Week is another opportunity to pause and share our appreciation for our beloved princess, and all that she has given us. This year’s celebration will take place October 13-17 as we go #pinkforpauahi to raise awareness of breast cancer, the disease which took her life.

See the message below from senior Sophia Perry, who is coordinating this year's event for her legacy project:

Having attended Kamehameha Schools Hawai`i since kindergarten, I’ve always enjoyed the different opportunities to celebrate our founder, like Pennies for Pauahi, Breast Cancer Awareness projects, and the Walk for Pauahi.

This year, in collaboration with students from KSK and KSM, I’ve designed new ways to perpetuate these activities through our distance learning lifestyles. October 13th will kick off our first annual Tri-Campus Pink for Pauahi Week. To show our appreciation for Princess Pauahi, students and their loved ones can participate in special dress, fundraising opportunities, and challenges on social media.

For the specific details, please see the flyers below. Visit @pauahifoundation on Instagram to learn more about our virtual events for the week.

Here's an overview of what's happening:

  • Tuesday-Thursday Special Pink and Red Dress Days
  • Teapresso fundraiser on Saturday, October 17
  • Virtual Zoom background
  • Pink for Pauahi Storefront - KS Maui has set-up a partnership with Warrior Printing to produce ʻPink for Pauahi' merchandise with proceeds benefiting their KS Maui Kahiau scholarship.

This flyer details the different activities for the week (October 13-17) .

Everyone is encouraged to wear pink and red on designated days to demonstrate their unity in honoring our founder.

A Teapresso fundraiser is being held on Saturday in Hilo to raise funds for Pauahi Foundation scholarships.

A special Zoom background was created for the week if students and kumu would like to use it.
