The first ever ʻOhana Māla Morning takes place this Saturday, September 14 at the middle school agroforestry area.
ʻOhana Māla Morning this Saturday

This Saturday, September 14, Kamehameha Schools Hawaiʻi Kula Waena will host their first ever “ʻOhana Māla Morning”  from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. in the middle school agroforest area (behind the dining hall near the PV farm).

The intent of the gather is to provide an opportunity where students/ʻohana, faculty and staff can come together and huli ka lima i lalo, turn your hands to the soil. 

No experience is needed, though participants should bring: 

  • Closed-toe shoes
  • Water bottle
  • A picnic lunch
  • Your best self!

For this first-time event, it is limited to Kula Waena families. More opportunities will be available in the future for our entire KS ʻohana should you have an interest in doing this kind of service.
