The final blood drive of this school year takes place next Thursday, March 21 from 8:30 a.m. - 2:45 p.m. in Lunalilo Hale.
To help encourage more people to participate in the drive, KSH alumna Cassidy Keliʻi shares her personal story of why donating blood is so critical.
Keliʻi is a member of the Kamehameha Schools Hawaiʻi class of 2016, Kūkaʻōhiʻa. She was diagnosed with a form of leukemia last October and as a former blood drive participant, found herself on the other end of the spectrum, needing over 50 units of blood herself. It's her hope to inspire more people to see how a simple and easy act can have such a tremendous impact on others.
If you are:
- 16+ years old,
- Healthy, and
- 110+ pounds (women under 19 have a height/weight scale to ensure their eligibility),
You may be eligible to donate blood. This spring break you can help save up to three lives in just 10 minutes of time.

The blood drive is made possible through the support and hard work of the KS Hawaiʻi Lifesavers Club and Blood Bank of Hawaiʻi.
