Pōmaikaʻi Evans-Bautista, a 2019 graduate of Kamehameha Schools Hawai‘i, was presented with a $5,000 scholarship as part of the Kaimana Awards & Scholarship Program at the Hawaiʻi Convention Center on June 8. The student-athlete was presented with the award by Robert Kekaula, KITV news anchor and KS Kapālama alumnus, and Elisa Yadao, HMSAʻs senior vice president and community engagement officer.

KS Hawai'i student-athlete earns Kaimana Scholarship

Pōmaikaʻi Evans-Bautista, a 2019 graduate of Kamehameha Schools Hawai‘i, was presented with a $5,000 scholarship as part of the Kaimana Awards & Scholarship Program at the Hawaiʻi Convention Center on June 8.

Evans-Bautista was recognized as a stellar scholar-athlete who excelled in volleyball, basketball, and track and field, and was selected from a pool of more than 300 applicants based on her athletic achievements, academic success and community service.

The Kaimana Awards & Scholarship Program is held annually by the Hawaiʻi Medical Service Association and the Hawaiʻi High School Athletic Association.
