Graduating seniors named Aloha ʻĀina Leaders

Kanaeokana – the Kula Hawaiʻi Network including 70 Hawaiian language, culture, and ʻāina-based schools and organizations – presented the Aloha ʻĀina Leader Awards recognizing the commitments of 16 students to aloha ʻāina and community-centered values. The 2019 high school graduates attended Hawaiian-focused charter schools, Hawai‘i DOE kula kaiapuni (Hawaiian language immersion schools) and Kamehameha Schools’ three campuses.
