M. KĀHEALANI NAE‘OLE-WONG, Kamehameha Schools Hawai‘i Po‘o Kula

M. Kāhealani Nae‘ole-Wong was named Kamehameha Schools Hawai‘i po‘o kula (head of school) in 2015. Nae‘ole-Wong joined the KS Hawai‘i ‘ohana in 2003 as a high school career academy coordinator. She then served for eight years as principal of KSH Elementary School before being named assistant head of school in 2013.

Prior to joining KSH, she served as the vice principal for Waiākea Elementary School, Mountain View Elementary School and Waiākea High School, and in various capacities within Ke Kula Kaiapuni Hawai‘i.

After graduating from Kamehameha Schools Kapālama in 1987, Nae‘ole-Wong went on to earn a bachelor of arts degree in Hawaiian studies from the University of Hawai‘i at Hilo and dual master’s degrees in curriculum and instruction, and K-12 education administration from the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa.
