About me

After graduating from Kamehameha Schools Kapālama Campus in 1994, I attended Pacific University in Oregon where I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Art and my Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education.

I started my teaching career in Oregon in the Hillsboro School District teaching 4th Grade for four years, then I was selected to be on a planning committee to open up a brand new elementary school where I transferred to and became a 3/4 Blend teacher for 3 years.

In 2005, after having 2 daughters, my husband and I moved to Maui to be closer to grandparents.

Once on Maui, I began teaching at Wailuku Elementary as a 3rd Grade Teacher, then as a 1st Grade Teacher.

In 2012, I rejoined the KS ‘ohana as a 1st Grade Kumu and I am now enjoying teaching 4th Grade.
