About me

Aloha my name is Kelly Mokiao and I am a First Grade Kumu.  I was born and raised in Wailuku Maui.  I graduated from Baldwin High School and then went on the Oregon State University in Corvallis Oregon where I earned a Bachelors degree in Human Development and Family Sciences with a focus on Early Childhood Education.  After graduation I moved to Las Vegas Nevada where I worked at a school for 3 years as a pre-kindergarten teacher.  I decided to move back home to Maui to be closer to my Ohana.  I became a teacher at Makawao Elementary starting in Special Education and then moving into a 5th grade classroom.  I was blessed to be hired as the Science Kumu for two years, the Kindergarten Kumu for 2 years and now the first grade Kumu here at Kamehameha Schools Maui Elementary campus.

Being here at Kamehameha Schools Maui has blessed me in so many ways I am able to work with a great staff and above all with amazing students!
