The annual Wai‘anae Coast Ho‘ohūlili Service Provider Fest welcomed 58 service providers for a day of network and knowledge building to better serve our Wai‘anae Coast community.

Recognizing the important role kūpuna play in our lives, Kamehameha Schools’ Ka Pua Initiative recently hosted kupuna from the community for luncheons to share manaʻo, food, and pride in our communities’ achievements.
A "Plant the Seed" banner contest hosted by Kamehameha Schools' Ka Pua challenged students to create artwork of their fondest early learning experience. The banners will be used to promote upcoming activities designed to get families on the Wai‘anae Coast engaged with preschool and other early learning opportunities.

The Native Hawaiian Education Council is sponsoring a series of community listening sessions to gather information that will be given directly to the U.S. Department of Education. Meetings will be held on November 5 in Nānākuli and November 6 in Wai‘anae.
