The United States Distance Learning Association (USDLA) this week honored Kamehameha Schools Distance Learning (KSDL), recognizing the group as one of the top ten distance learning programs in the country.

The 89th Annual Kamehameha Schools Song Contest will celebrate the music of John Kamea'aloha Almeida, the dean of Hawaiian music, who played for the queen.
HONOLULU – Kamehameha Schools Kapalama Athletic Department announced it has hired Jenai Yoshii as the head coach of girls water polo. Kamehameha won the state title in 2006 and claimed the runner-up spot in 2008. Yoshii joined the coaching staff on March 4, 2009.

Kamehameha Schools will host the 79th annual Ho'olaule'a on Saturday, February 28 from 8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the Kapālama Campus.
‘Aha Mele o Ho‘omau will hold its Ho‘omau 2009 Concert - which benefits all O‘ahu Hawaiian language immersion schools - on Sun., Feb. 15, at the Waikīkī Shell. The concert will feature performances by Keali‘i Reichel, Waipuna, Kūpaoa, Holunape, ‘Ike Pono, Sudden Rush and the keiki of the 11 participating schools.
